Touring the Mexican Jungle
There are an almost unlimited number of activities while you’re vacationing in Mexico. There are the pristine beaches with their aquatic activities, there are the resorts with their spas, pools and restaurants there is shopping for inexpensive jewelry – and then there are some of the lesser known activities. For instance, touring the jungles of Mexico. To many who prefer these kinds of adventures, this sounds more adventurous and fun.
Mexican jungle tours are a well-kept secret however there has been an increase in popularity due to the adventurous aspect. One of the reasons that jungle tours have been gaining in popularity is that they have now become accessible by ATV.
The density of most Mexican jungle terrain makes it impossible to tour by bus or car. Hiking and biking in a jungle is often too dangerous. Therefore, with the increased popularity of ATVs (all terrain vehicles) this is an ideal way to take a fun and exciting jungle tour.
Although ATV rentals are available, if you’re interested in a jungle tour, it’s important to schedule through a tour guide or company. The professional tour guides know where to look and what exciting things to show you and they also know how to keep you safe. You can find ATV jungle tours through your hotel concierge, through your travel agent or even research on the internet.
While researching ATV jungle tours, it is likely that you will come up with a number of tour companies. When selecting a tour guide, it is advised that you determine the location of each tour and then compare it to your intended Mexico destination. ATV jungle tour guides are popular, but they can only be found in limited areas. If you are interested in scheduling an ATV jungle tour, you may have to be prepared to travel to the intended tour site.
While Mexican jungle tours on ATVs are popular, they aren’t the only tours that you can take while on vacation. You can also rent an ATV and ride along the coast. But prior to anything make sure that you know whether reservations are required. Research the tour company to make sure that their vehicles are well maintained. The internet is a great place to start and, in fact, many companies offer such incentives as discounts for booking over the internet and also a “flex” reservation which allows you to decide when you’re on your vacation, the day that you’d like to go. This is great in the case of inclement weather.
You should also look at tour packages that allow you to schedule multiple activities, such as hiking, fishing and ATV tour all in one package for one price.

Three Helpful Tips to Make Your Disneyland Adventure More Fun

A source of frustration for many Disneyland visitors are the long lines. On a busy day, sometimes people have to wait for several hours for the most popular rides and attractions. When visiting Disneyland, you can avoid the lines in three different ways.
First of all, arrive at the park early. The earlier you arrive the shorter the lines.
Choose your rides. Many times, people start at the first ride they see. Instead, have a map of Disneyland and head for the rides that you want to ride the most. That way, you’ll be able to ride several times if you choose.
Another option that will help you avoid the long lines that Disneyland is famous for is to ride later in the evening when people have already left or they’re enjoying the shows. While Disneyland’s nightly entertaining is happening, you’ll be able to find shorter lines. Of course, this means that you’ll probably miss the entertainment however this is an option for you.
FastPass
Another option to avoiding the long lines at popular Disneyland attractions is the FastPass. You can purchase a FastPass ticket for rides that offer them. Make sure that you do this early in the day to make sure that you get the opportunity to ride them.
FastPass tickets can be purchased from machines located near the rides. Now, this doesn’t mean that by purchasing a FastPass ticket you get to move to the front of the line – it means that you can schedule the time that you’ll be able to ride. More like scheduling an appointment. After you purchase your ticket, you can then go enjoy the park and return when your ride time approaches.
After you purchase your FastPass, you will be given a one hour timeframe to ride. For instance, if your FastPass ticket is from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, you can show up and move to the front of the line during that time. You must have your Disneyland ticket in order to purchase a FastPass.
FastPasses are available for Indiana Jones, Autotopia, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Roger Rabbits Cartoon Spin, and Buzz Lightyear.
Package Express –
Of course, when you visit Disneyland, you’ll wind up purchasing all sorts of fun souvenirs. But that means that you’ll wind up trying to hold all your packages and carrying them all over the park.
One of the features that you can utilize is the Package Express Service. This way you can make your purchases and not have to carry them all over the park.
The way this feature works is that you make your purchases, which is then delivered to the Newsstand, located near the exit. The Package Express then allows you to pick up your packages as you leave the park.
One word of caution however, if you stay until closing, the pickup line will be very long.
If you are fortunate enough to be staying in one of the resort hotels, you can have your purchases sent directly to your hotel. This is extremely convenient because you can stay until the park closes and not have the trouble of standing in a long line.
You also have the option of renting a locket to put your purchases in until you leave. This will require you to walk back to the locker each time you make a purchase.
St. Thomas Vacation Packages: Are They Worth the Money
March 19, 2009 by VacationGuru
Filed under Beach Vacations, Family Vacations, More Travel Tips, Resort Vacations, St. Thomas, Vacation Travel
If you’ve decided that a vacation in St. Thomas is what you’d like, you might be trying to decide if you should purchase a St. Thomas vacation package. You might be considering this and need to know if they’re worth it. Almost all vacation package companies say they will save you money, but this may not, in fact, be the case. Actually the kind of vacation package that you purchase is the determining factor.
First of all, consider what is being offered. Most vacation packages offer hotel accommodations but some also include your airfare. Make sure that you examine what accommodations are offered.
If your airfare is included in the vacation package, it should specify what airline the reservations will be on. It is a simple thing to then go online and price the airfare against what the package offers. Also compare how many stops, if you have to change planes and what is the airline schedule. If you’re unfamiliar with the airline, research them online and especially look at their on time arrival record.
Consider the cost of the hotel that you will be staying in as well as the safety factor. The cost of the hotel or resort as well as the name should be specified upfront. Once you know that, it’s easy to compare prices and determine the cost of the reservations. You can look online, ask your travel agent or even call the hotel directly.
What are some of the other things included in your St. Thomas vacation package? Often they might include entertainment or discount coupons on meals or tours.
Don’t confuse vacation packages with all-inclusive vacations. They aren’t the same thing. All-inclusive vacations include accommodations, entertainment, meals and travel and vacation packages don’t. While entertainment is often similar and can be boat tours, SCUBA diving, beach activities, most vacation packages don’t include food and drinks.
Once you have determined the estimated cost of entertainment, travel, and overnight accommodations, you can compare your total to the total cost of the vacation package. You may be surprised to see a significant difference. The difference often varies. There are many individuals who are given a great deal and others will actually lose money by purchasing a St. Thomas vacation package.
Why are some St. Thomas vacation packages considered bargains while others are too expensive? Well it depends on many factors. Is the package from a discount travel website? If so, then you might get a better deal. One thing to note though is that when you’re purchasing a St. Thomas vacation package, you might want to make sure there are no hidden fees. These fees can significantly increase your cots.
One thing that might surprise many people is that vacation packages to St. Thomas can sometimes be the best bargains if purchased directly through St. Thomas resorts. You can also use a travel agent however you must be prepared to pay for that. The nice thing about purchasing through a travel agent is that most of them offer a guarantee of satisfaction so you can know that the resort and travel agent are trustworthy.
So if you’re planning a vacation to St. Thomas, make sure that you look into purchasing a vacation package.
